You found Montessori for a reason. Something about the way it sees children, the trust it places in them, the depth it asks of us, spoke to you. You didn't stumble into this philosophy. You chose it.
And then you tried to bring it home.
You read the books. You followed the accounts. You rearranged the shelves. You tried to slow down, observe more, react less.
And some days it works. And some days it really, really doesn't.
And somewhere in the space between what Montessori looks like online and what Monday morning looks like in your home, you started to wonder: am I doing this right? Is this even working?
You are not doing it wrong.
You are doing it without the right support.
That's what The Prepared Parent is here to change.

NOT FOR
Parents looking for a material list or shelf setup guide.
This is for parents ready to look inward.
Most Montessori content teaches you what to do. A better shelf. A calmer response. A more intentional morning routine.
The Prepared Parent teaches you how to see. Your child. Yourself.
The relationship between you.
Because here is what 15 years of professional Montessori experience and 3 years as a Montessori parent has taught Emma: the parents who transform their family's daily life aren't the ones who buy the right materials. They're the ones who understand their child deeply, trust their own instincts, and have done enough of their own inner work to show up grounded even on the hard days. That capacity is what this 8 weeks is designed to build.
We meet Fridays over lunch, 12:00 to 1:30pm Pacific.
Sep 25, Oct 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, Nov 6, 13.

Testimonial
"TJoining the Prepared Parent Program was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my family. Each week, our cozy group of parents came together to tackle a new topic, share honest and personal stories, and receive non-judgmental group and 1:1 coaching. Hearing others stories brought so many “lightbulb” moments for my own home! It was also a friendly reminder that I’m really not alone in the challenges I face as a parent. This is not a “buy this wooden toy and follow these rules” course, it’s a truly personal and custom experience that left me feeling confident, supported, and equipped with new ideas. I can’t recommend it enough!”
- Ashlee, (3yr & 1yr)
"Montessorita’s Prepared Parent course gave me something I didn’t realize I needed: permission to stop trying to “do Montessori right” and start trusting myself more as a mama.
The content gave me a deeper understanding of Montessori, but Emma’s coaching helped me actually apply it to our real life, our real child, and our real challenges. I came away feeling more confident, more observant, and much less focused on whether I was doing everything perfectly.
The community was such an important part too. It was reassuring to hear other parents navigating the same messy, beautiful parts of raising little humans.
My biggest shift has been moving from “What should I be doing?” to “What is Tryton showing me she needs?” That perspective has made me a calmer, more intentional parent.
-Tristyn, (16 months and 12 yrs)
" Montessori parenting course gave me so much confidence as a new mom. Not only do I have a deeper understanding of Montessori principles that I can apply in my day to day life with my son but I have a deeper understanding of myself as person and how I want to parent my child. Through one on one coaching with Emma I was able to really pause and reflect about every day choices and interactions with my son and observe him through a new lens. That wild energy, I've reframed into “this boy has a zest for life”. I have a new found confidence as a parent in how I want to shape him into the amazing human he was born to be.”
- Andrea, (2yo)

A lifetime inside Montessori.
Emma's Montessori journey began at eight weeks old, peering over the edge of the sling her mother wore while teaching in her Montessori classroom. She attended Montessori school through junior high and credits that education with shaping her love of learning, her commitment to meaningful work, and her need to make a positive impact in the world.
She holds an AMS Early Childhood Credential and a Master's in Leadership Development with a focus on Montessori research and leadership. She has taught in Children's House and Elementary classrooms, served as a Montessori school director, and serves as Co-Director of the Montessori Teacher Academy, an AMS-affiliated accredited teacher education program. She is the founder and President of the California Montessori Alliance.
She is a Montessori parent navigating the same beautiful, complicated work that every family she works with is facing.
